Mike Dockins was born in 1972 and grew up in New York. He holds a BS from SUNY Brockport and an MFA from UMASS Amherst. His poems have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Quarterly West, Third Coast, and elsewhere, and have been reprinted in Verse Daily, Poetry Daily, and in the 2007 Best American Poetry. His first book, Slouching in the Path of a Comet (Sage Hill P, 2007),  is currently enjoying a second printing. Like mostly everyone else, he’s on Facebook.
