6,5,4,3 Slash Pine Writer Hike covered ten miles and 18 writers in total. Each writer’s work  serialized throughout the trail, read at designated points by three readers, as well as the writers themselves. These hikes were led in silence to ensure the continuity of the work.

POND&FIELD
featuring work by Lily Brown, Jared White, Joshua R. Helms, and MC Hyland; a little more than 2 miles, with footbridges and one notable hill at the end.

FALLEN BARN
featuring work by Farrah Field, Nick Demske, Jen Tynes & Mike Sikkema, Carl Peterson, and Betsy Seymour; 4 mile hike with steep hills and a stream crossing.

TRANSFORMER
featuring work by Tom Andes, Heidi Lynn Staples, Anne Shaw, Kirsten Jorgenson, Farren Stanley, and Joshua Robbins; most involved hike at a little over 4.5 miles with varying landscape, thus the hike’s name.
