At Slash Pine, we do things a little differently. True our events are “unorthodox,” but they are way better than the average reading. Our events are offbeat, meaning not the typical read-in-front-of podium-while-breathing-stale-library-air readings.

We like to read where the idea of space is democratic and diverting – usually in the woods, around a fire and in front of antebellum jails, river banks, train depots and damp alleyways. We’ve held readings in other states too. Want to know more? Check out the places we’ve been on our exchanges.
